rock-a-thon

Young girl signs up for rock-o-thon ...
Old girl announces, "your not taking my rocker" ...
Wanting peace in the home I came up with this solution ...
Now somehow I'm responsible for delivery and providing
snacks for the rockers ...
I need a new manager !!

Run Earl, Run !!!!

Taken with a Sony MVC-FD95
This is not a great quality picture, but I like the Sparrow that just couldn't stand still any longer. I think Earl is the other Sparrow, because as the one flew off I heard him say "Run Earl, Run" or something to that affect, or maybe that was just a fig newton of my imagination, either way that is why I named this picture "Run Earl, Run !!!!".

Rock Run Creek

I tried my best to get a picture of this Great Blue Heron in Rock Run Creek. The sun was low and at about 11 o'clock, I tried to shade the camera with my hat and took about 3 shots before the Heron had enough of me and flew off. I was walking on the Pumpkinvine Trail in Goshen .

Oak Tree

This Oak tree is in Ox Bow Park, and sit on the bank above the river, someday it'll fall I'm sure. I've taken pictures of the tree at different times of the year, when the leaves are down you can see the river below through the roots. I walk at least once a week at this park it has several miles of nice trails.

The Elkhart Foundry
This is the old Elkhart Foundry, my wife is negotiating the purchase of the building and the 7 acres it sits on. The foundry will be torn down and hopefully the property will be the site of a new Public Library. This property is located along the Elkhart River in downtown Elkhart .

Latch on my storage shed

I have been taking pictures for 7 years with my Olympus D-340R 1.3 megapixel digital Camera, it's always kind of disappointing when I see the results others get with higher quality cameras, but I keep trying. I have always said that my camera is the digital equivalent of a Brownie Box Camera, it will take good pictures but you need to stay within it's limitations. For some reason I like this picture of the latch on my storage shed
