ME MUDDER

When me prayers were poorly said
Who tucked me in me widdle bed
And spanked me till me arse was red,
Me Mudder!
Who took me from me cozy cot
And put me on the ice cold pot
And made me pee when I could not,
Me Mudder!
And when the morning light would come
And in me crib me dribbled some
Who wiped me tiny widdle bum,
Me Mudder!
Who would me hair so neatly part
And hug me gently to her heart
Who sometimes squeezed me till me fart,
Me Mudder!

leonard

Dear sir, Dear Tom,
I Found your e-mail address on the web because I'm searching for long years about Captain Leonard Carlson...
I'm french & my name is Marc D. BETTON, from Normandy et french Maine.
"So excuse my bad english, I'm Just french"
I'm looking for relatives, family, friends who had known Captain Leonard Sven Carlson. He has been a member of the 85th Cavarlry Reconnaissance Squadron Mechanized of the 5th Armord Division during WWII.
Captain Carlson is probably dead in may 2007. He should be 90 or 91 years, his wife died a year ago or two. He lived in Osceola in the state of Indiana.
I have not personally read, as I live in France, but an American reader expressed to me after reading the review of the 5th A.D.
He wrote to me that he just read in the "5th Armored Division news "that Captain Leonard CARLSON, Commanding Officer of Troop D, 85th Recon. died this past May 2007. He had no details. »"
Here is a sad news but it is in the logic of the time which passes and spends. So much veterans are so old. I have a thought for him and every who liberated France from Nazi Barbary.
I'll try to make follow this news in the local press (Larchamp, Ernée municipalities in France... etc.) which were liberated on 04 auust 1944 in his first fight in the Normandy battle. But I need information.
In France, we can contact the town hall of the place of death and thus the cemetery where the deceased person rests. We can make a follow mail to the cemetery by asking so that it forward this mail to the people who have the load to maintain the graveyard or tombstone.
Captain Leonard S. Carlson is a hero in France when the head of his unit, the 85th Cav rec Sq Mecz of the 5th Armored Division, it freed Larchamp of Nazi barbarity and did his first battle before Ernée in 1944, august 04.
He lost men and friends. A monument is erected for this purpose deuis July 4, 1948, the date of Independence day in the United States of America, the symbol of our friendship with our American brothers in arms.
In addition to the American victims, are engraved the names of resistant french who were killed when their contribution to the invasion.
We have never been able to contact the Captain carlson because it was probably too old and he could not answer my letters sent to Osceola.
The family of his men killed or wounded in combat had given new ones.
Articles have been written in the 5th A.D. review "where he had helped to recount his memories and his memories ...?
Articles will be written in France if you could provide us with information, pictures on the message was the captain Carlson.
We owe him this tribute, and we would be grateful to be able to contribute more. His family, his friends, his caregivers could reach me. I could give them the information and testimonies photographs on the french side and also on the American side.
Next summer will be the ceremony of the sixtieth anniversary of the inauguration of the memorial monument.
Therefore, I want to have contact with all those who have suffered the captain Carlson, and, of course, the willing.
I would like to have testimonies, information, pictures and documents about the Captain Carlson and his comrades. His memory could be alive. We can establish contacts with the families, children, grand-children, friends, cousins, nephews, nieces.../...
Do you have an idea to be able to join his family or institutions that have occupied until his last days?
Thank you so much for your help!
Keep in touch !
Friendly
Marc D. BETTON.
